Need help identifying this breed

Um, those look like male saddle feathers growing in on Audrey's back. :oops:
Any crowing, mating, or egg-laying yet?

I figure it it lays an egg it's female, no matter how it looks.
If it fathers a chick it's male, again no matter how it looks.
And if it crows it's probably male but might not be.

So far, Audrey's got me a bit puzzled.
 
lol no eggs that I know off as you can see I have many and it’s hard to keep track of who’s laying and who’s not...they lay eggs all over the yard....
no crowing and no tendencey to want to mate with any of the others....
showed some of the old photos to members in my local poultry club and I’ve been told there’s someone around who is breeding “hoosters” that being a hen who looks like a rooster....

A lot of people will put a drop of food coloring on the vent to see who’s laying what. I personally don’t think Audrey is currently laying, but if you wanted you could put a drop on her vent and if you find an egg with that color on it you’ll know she laid it.
