Need help identifying what happened to my feed

Thanks I will check those out now that I'm home! I just got him a bolus dose of 0.4 cc of corid plus I am placing all of them on corid at the dosage of 2 tsp per gallon. I found this info on here from casportpony. One hen has had looser than normal stools and I suspect she has it as well and also minus the obvious blood. I will discuss it with the vet for sure but I think my plan will be to do corid and then follow up with the medication he has for the rooster only and I will plan on doing routine stool checks on him through the vet. I'll know more regarding the meds when I talk to him.

ETA Could this in any way be tied to the feather loss? Will he ever become immune?

Sorry for so many questions. This has plagued my life now for four months. I have had enough and have so many questions and concerns so I can get on this and be done. I have sanitized and moved the house yet it keeps coming back. I'm just afraid he's always going to have it.

Should I treat with an antibiotic as well? Also I picked up poultry cell. The dosage says 1-3 cc daily during periods of stress. Is that the dosage you recommend as well?
The feather loss could be from a compromised immune system or he may just be going through a juvenile mini molt due to his age.
I would speak to the vet whether or not to add an antibiotic to his treatment plan.

Don't give the poultry cell now. It has thiamine in it.
Wait until after your treat the coccidiosis to give it.
Thiamine isn't good to give with Corid. It can make the Corid not work...so to speak.
Agreed!

We had a change of plans. I switched him to the ponazuril. He had his first dose today and a second will follow up in 10 days.

I gave him his first dose of poultry cell as well today at a total of 1 cc (he is 4 lbs). I split this 0.5 cc morning and 0.5 cc evening along with vitamin C. How many days is it safe to continue this considering he is severely anemic? I don't want to overload him but also don't want to undertreat.

I wouldn't give Poultry Cell for more than 5 days in a row.
If he's anemic, give him 1tablespoon of beef liver daily instead of the hamburger.

I think I'll spread out the poultry cell some then. Maybe every other day. I'll go get him the liver. Do I feed it raw?

You can feed the liver raw if you wish. If not, boil it. Use your boiled water to make him a wet mash:)
Thanks!! He looks better morning. His comb is more pink. His urates are clearer with less yellow. He's still nowhere near red in his comb but it's a start. I think the poultry cell is really giving him a good boost.

:fl Let's hope you are on the right track and he continues to improve!
Please keep us posted.

Wyorp Rock my one year old salmon faverolle has normal appearing stools in consistency but her bed was soaked wet (they sleep on blankets) underneath her. Should I get her checked for coccidia too? She eats and acts normal. No blood. Her new Modesto corn free and soy free starter grower was delivered yesterday and I started them on it half and half. I didn't expect them to like it so well but all of their stool was brown this morning (same color as new feed). Their stool has been green for a long time on the natures way feed. Not sure if her loose stool is more likely related to the change in feed or if I should err on the side of caution. It costs me $25 each time I get a stool sample checked but I'll do it if it can prevent a disaster.

If one bird in your flock has coccidiosis you can pretty much count on everyone having it to some degree.
Treat everyone for it at the same time.

I agree with Kiki, I would just go ahead and treat all that are housed with him, if that's possible.

When you have times, photos of the poop would be good too.
How are you keeping them? Any way that you can put a perch in the cage for them to roost so they aren't sleeping on the floor?
