Oh, yuck, I'm so sorry! I would choose to get the yicky egg out and clean up the rest because I don't think that bacterial load would be healthy for the rest of the hatch, but it's a risk either way. Good candling or a sniff test will help avoid those in the future. I had one explode on me once (but it was outside under a broody) and NEVER again

so I always candle now.

I would get that egg out of there... i think...
clean up as much as you can quickly....

I would get the bad egg out and do the best you can to clean up in a hurry and then leave things be and hope for the best--I don't have any personal experiance though, that's just what I would do if it happened to me. Hopefully somone who has actually dealt with the situation will chime in soon.

I would wipe them all off with a warm wet rag, then put them somewhere warm while you quickly clean the incubator. Get them back in, put in warm water to bump up the humidity, and then wait and see what happens. Try to keep them in the same position you found them though, those babys are positioning for hatching.

Are the other eggs moving? If so I wouldn't open the bator now. But you need to get the chicks out of that bator as soon as they hatch. You can set up a temp broody if you don't have one. If it was early in the cycle You could have cleaned the bator. In either case the chciks can't stay in the dirty bator any longer than needed. When the chick hatches, get it out, that is one that will live. You have to live with the smell until the hatch is over. If you have no movement in the other eggs, they are probably no good either. Wait one day and throw all the eggs out, they won't hatch and more will blow up. Clean the bator real good with bleach and let it air dry in the sunlight. Do that a few times and the smell will go away.

If it was me I would go ahead and take the eggs out of the bator and put them aside. Do you have something you could put the eggs in to keep them warm for a little while? How about a heating pad? Clean the bator out as best as you can and get it running again. Then put your eggs back in. Candle them first. You don't need anymore blowing up. It is a risk doing this but at least you are trying to save the rest. Good Luck. Let us know how it goes.

Hi Kim! Wow, that's terrible. I've never had that happen in an incubator, but considering it's Day 20 already, I'd let it go and see what happens. Unless the yuck is just smothering the other eggs, they should be all right --- they'll be hatching tomorrow.
If they don't hatch tomorrow, you can rethink whether to toss or clean what's left.
Is the stench too horrible to deal with? Ewww. I feel for you.
