If they are in direct sunlight, they may be overheated. You may want to put something on the top to provide some shade for some of the cage. See if that helps. My quail are still inside until this crazy "hot-then-cold" weather. There is no way to acclimate them to that.
Edited: By looking at your photos again, I think your birds are overheated... I don't believe there is enough ventilation. Just me, but I would have hardware cloth on both sides.

Thanks James. That's exactly where I was getting at. Though, can't change in the existing coop. Got a second smaller one which have HW cloth on all 4 sides, besides, that I can put under the room with the roof. So, that may also help keeping them in bit cooler environment. Thanks again for your time.
