I'm so sorry...poor hen...and poor kitten - if I read correctly one of the two didn't make it?.
I hope very much that everybody else will thrive....

Been through that abscess business many times with one of my kitties - he's okay now but was miserable each and every time, poor boy.
Thinking about your 10 year old kitty - was hoping you found him, or vice versa but fear that this has not happened...?
