I'm thinking that I would like to have a method for really clean drinking water, a nipple waterer seems the way to go.

I want to attach a hose to a pipe that contains the nipples, to place in the coop.

So, besides the hose and pvc, do I need a pressure regulator for the hose (I can always turn it down way low so it doesn't explode the hose)? And how many nipples would you place for 20 birds?
I'm guessing 3-5 based on what I've read on the supplier websites.

The birds will also have a 5 gallon bucket waterer outside the shed but I thought it would be good for them to have something inside.

Also, if you wanted to make a nipple waterer from a 5 gallon bucket could you make it a continuous flow if you figured out a way to screw the hose into a fitting that is sealed into the lid of the bucket?

I guess I could experiment but I don't have the time or money to do so right now. Any help is greatly appreciated.
