Need help picking!!!

So I've read through almost all of the posts on here and I'm now stumped on what to do. I ordered baby chicks from Ideal, but I'm now worried about the shipping from Texas to Mass. I was thinking of switching my order over to mypetchicken since they are next door in CT.

What I would like to know is.... if anyone has gotten chicks from mypetchicken, how were their chicks and customer service?

Also... What would be a good breed of Rooster? I'm new to this, but I would truly like a sweet rooster! I've got some RI reds, buff orps, delawares, and easter eggers coming in a few weeks!

I can't help with which hatchery to choose from but as far as a rooster, I have a welsummer and he has been the nicest rooster I have ever had. I have had a RIR and BR roo but the welsummer has been the best! Good luck!
