I had that happen to me with my RIR, Ruby. She won't eat oyster shell, either. She also has a habit of eating too many treats so I have to make sure she eats enough feed. It seems to be worse with the heat of the summer....they eat less feed and their calcium and vitamin D drop. I give ground up calcium in the feed and cod liver oil soaked in bread. Since I've done that, no more soft shells. Good luck....

My SS refuses oyster shell, so I take the powerdy oyster shell and mix it with wet feed. She eats it and I have hard shell eggs!

thank you all for the help..
I got her from a Breeder that shows their birds.
I have human calcium +Vit. D tablets....I think I will crush one up and mix it in with her vegies.
