Need Help! Retreiving deer off of someone elses property...

Here in Ga there is a law saying that if you get hurt on anyones horse its your fault..

i had this happen to me once with a grouchy farmer. he wouldn't let me walk 75 yards into his pasture to get a deer i had shot. we stood at the fence, looking at the deer! still, he said no. well, his cows kept getting loose onto my property. after checking the laws, i shot one for him. they didn't get loose again. then he got really grouchy with me. he forgot that his water source for watering his field troughs came from one of MY wells. i shut that well down. he had to cart water to the fields after that. bottom line, scratch my back, i'll scratch yours.

Well I can tell you all this, the man also hunts. My husband is competition, so yea I understand why he doesnt like us there. I hate that it had to go to waste. I agree it will feed the coyotes and such which is a good thing. He could have also went and got it for himself. Ive heard people say go in at night and get it, well Im telling you right now the man is not a happy person, I wouldnt put it past him to shoot us if we were over there. And where we are no matter who you tell they won't go with you to get the deer, thats that mans land and what he says goes (I guess they recently changed the law for that here). Edit: The OP is in Indiana ... here's the Indiana rules:

In Indiana, you do not have the right to enter private property to retrieve game. You might be able to get a conservation warden to assist you, but if the landowner refuses, not even the conservation warden can get you access to the private property (in other states, they can).

If I shoot a deer and it goes on a neighboring property, can I legally retrieve the deer?Answer: Unless you have permission from the landowner, preferably written, you may not go onto his/her property to retrieve/track the deer.

What do I do if a landowner does not give me permission to retrieve the deer I shot?Answer: Contact your local Conservation Officer for assistance in retrieving the deer. He/she can be contacted via the Sheriff's office or the DNR Law Enforcement District for your county. The landowner can still legally refuse to give up the deer.
