Need help sexing a rescued polish

Hey everyone anyone have an idea if this is hen/roo? Not sure if age since it was a reacue

She looks like she might be a bantam. She's definitely full grown, at least a year old, probably older. Check her legs-- if they are smooth, she is young. If they're rougher and more scaly, then she's older.

Tail feathers will tell you the gender at that age. If they are long and curly its a roo, if they are straight and flat its a hen.

That's true, but this bird is full grown and the crests of males and females are very different. A hen's will have rounded feathers, like this girl's, and the shape in general is round. A Polish rooster's crest will have long, pointed feathers just like the saddle or hackle feathers. A rooster's crest hangs down and isn't round in shape, but more flowing.

It looks around 8-10 weeks old. I'm thinking it's still a little bit young to sex, but the lack of any pointed saddle feathers make me lean towards pullet.

I'm no expert on Polish but I also think it is a juvenile and those very red wattles, spikey thin hackle feathers and green sheen tail feathers suggest it's a cockerel to me. Maybe I'm just a terrible pessimist! . No sign of pointy saddle feathers yet but I think there is time for them to develop. I would say it's a little older .... perhaps about 14 weeks.
