I might be reading your comment wrong, but I just wanted to give some advice. Chicks should not be out with older birds until they're at least 4 weeks old. I'm sure others have differing opinions on the age, but chickens will kill young chicks that aren't theirs.

Use the 'look, no touch' method when integrating young chicks with older birds. There are several threads covering the topic, just put 'integrating' in the search bar. They're awfully cute :love , good luck.

Don’t worry their in a double fenced cage (dog like) and our chicken isn’t aggressive we’ve integrated chicks before, but their very safe, thanks for your concern though~

Doing see but no touch at this age like they are doing is fine, it'll make integration easier when the time does come to let them mingle. As long as they aren't allowed to be too chilled and the adults can't get to them it's fine. I think I started taking my girls out for short day trips at a week or 2 old

As for sassy pullets, one of my girls Ginkgo chest bumped my cantankerous girl Parsley a few times when I was letting them mingle supervised (they had been doing see but no touch for a week or 2 at this point, I had to take a break for about 2 weeks due to being sick so I basically had to start over when they were 5 weeks old). Despite that and being the biggest friendliest bird she is a layer of turquoise eggs. Behavior can sometimes be a clue but it is far from reliable

I wasn't sure if 'caged' meant in the same pen or not, just double checking. I've seen some very frightening things on here with people making assumptions on how flock dynamics work.

ETA: Some of which I made myself:oops:
