Need Help Silkie Eggs

Also, what will my hen likely do once they begin to hatch? Will she make noise? Stand up to look at them? Sorry, I probably sound like a 4 year old asking a million questions.

She will set right where she is and sing to her babies. Once she knows they are dry she will move around. The chicks love to pop their heads out from under momma and I love to see that!

How adorable, I can't wait. But I have to admit, I'm sad, excited, hopeful, and doubtful at the same time. *sigh* I hope everything is ok.

I sure hope you get your babies! I went through kind of the same thing none of mine hatched all developed and for some reason did not hatch. I had a wonderful BYC'er offer me eggs for my girl and I took them and had a good hatch. If this is a loss and you want eggs. I maybe be able to get you some for just shipping to help you and your girl out just let me know!

Wow, thank you so much. Yeah, my kids have been involved this whole time and I know their hearts are sinking a little since we've had to prepare them and tell them "they might not hatch". My Silkie has been broody off and on over the last few months and steadily since we got the eggs. We've been keeping food and water next to her the whole time, taking as good of care of her as we know how. We just want a couple silkies so she can have her own flock away from our other chickens (2 Reds, 1 Barred Rock, 1 Bahama, 1 Jersey Giant). They're more pets than anything. Very spoiled and loving chickens. But, my Silkie is by far my favorite.

What color silkies does that person have?

That may be an option. My husband is looking now for local breeders where we may be able to get a few chicks to tuck under her while she's sleeping. We may even be able to swap them and not tell the kids as well. Anyway, I'll let you know. Thank you SO much for the offer, I may take you up on that.
