you're right... I total had a brain fart on that.
Did some looking at wild patterned x muscovy crosses. The pattern of yours is identical to all 30-40 of them I saw. Many had the white ring on the neck too, they were all listed as male by the way too.
Most had a mottled brown body, white ring on the neck and little to no facial features of the scovies.

Can you give me a link to the pictures? I'm curious to see them!

I visited a rehabilitator yesterday to rehome two of my ducks (mallard and muscovy drake, grandma said I had to get rid of 2/3 :l) and she said that the duck in question, Peking, is indeed a Rouen/Muscovy cross, but she also said she seems more Muscovy and that she is a he!

I dont know it right off
I just google muscovy hybrids and a blue million of them popped up.
All from various breeds, most mallards or rouens, then showed some really cool looking ones from wild species, as well as from different colored mallard derivatives like runners, pekings etc.
Do an image search, you'll get all you can stand on them

Whoa whoa whoa...haven't been on BYC in a LONG time...'Scovies are prohibited by federal law now?!

So much to catch up on. Very pretty duck, btw. Whatever it is, it is unique and has character.

without a migratory waterfowl permit, yes to my understanding.
That OR they have to be soley for food production, egg or meat.
No longer legal to have and breed them freely as backyard pets. That was passed back in March 2010, and placed them under the USFWS Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
Mainly they are now classed as an invassive species. They arent really trying to protect the muscovy, actually the oposite, they are trying to get it out of the wild population here in the states, with the exception of 3 southern Texas counties where they are considered native.

Pretty much they have blamed the private sector for the invasive wild birds around the country, which, well is true..folks having them and letting them loose, get tired of them and dump them, whatever the case may be..
So for those acts from the bad eggs, now all keepers have to deal with these new scovie laws.

The full write up is in that link I posted from the USWFS.

Well, come to find out I was totally off about her weight. She's actually 3 lbs, so maybe she is a Mallard cross.
