This egg pipped 24 hours ago with no further progress. I'm getting worried. Do I help? It hasn't made much noise at all, and never even heard an internal peep. I can see its beak, what should I do?

If you can see the beak moving, I would wait. This process can take another 24 hours sometimes. How is your humidity? That membrane is starting to look dry, a little brown maybe. Make sure your humidity is nice and high 65 - 70% and that your temp is around 99degs. I noticed that you have the egg in a basket, is this in your incubator?

I'm not sure on the humidity, I don't hve a reader for that. The incubator I have has a reservoir to keep filled with water and yes there is water in it. The temp is at 100F and yes the membrain is a little bit dry. I'm not quite sure why he's not making any noises, I have hatched three eggs in the past and they all chirp like crazy.

Tough call.
If it's a pip outside the air cell I give 36-48 hours before intervening.
Since air cell is not marked on this egg, I don't know what to suggest.
Without a calibrated therm and no hygrometer, even harder to advise.
.....and assisting is always a personal decision.

I already lost one that didn't hatch, it was DIS and fully formed. Will this one make it?
At what point, and how, did you discover the DIS?

The egg that was DIS, was placed in the incubator three days before the one that has pipped(egg 2). I had candled it two days before egg 2 pipped and there was no movement. I know it should have hatched before egg 2 by at least 2 or 3 days. When egg 2 pipped I knew egg one was DIS. I smelled a faint rotten smell coming from it and decided to crack it just to see how far it got. This is the chick from egg 1.

Update, the chick died this morning. Thank you for your info. Now I know it can take more than 24hr.
