Hello I have a silky mix chicken that was her typical stalker chicken self yesterday. This morning though is is just laying down with a quicker than normal breathing, and mostly unresponsive. Before you say take her to a vet my vet I would have taken her to no longer does walk ins for poultry so I had to make an appointment for her and that’s several days away at this point. I really think I need to get her started on something right away.

no odd poops this morning, no eating but did get her to take 3ml of Gatorade/ nutri-drench combination over the last hour. She does occasionally make this gasping like action. She hasn’t been outside and is currently in house. Hasn’t picked up anything metal or anything like that to our knowledge but may have the possibility of having pecked off some road salt from shoes.

Here is a video of her breathing.

Her comb looks really a deep red....almost burgendy...unless it's just the lighting. I would check her crop. Try to keep her hydrated.

Everything feels a little soft to me. But she did spit up a little when I moved her. And her comb is redder than normal.

working on keeping her hydrated, got some vet RX for the panting

Have you felt inside her vent for an egg?

She spit up when you moved her - is her crop full of fluid? Was she panting before you moved her or after you moved her and she spit up?
She may be having some crop issues which are often a symptom of an underlying conditions (reproductive disorder/egg binding, worms, coccidiosis, inflammation/infection).

The panting is concerning, after you feel for an egg, feel for any swelling/bloat or fluid in the abdomen below the vent between the legs.

Careful about moving her if she has fluid in the crop since this can press the contents upward and she can aspirate.

She sadly had a seizure and then passed on me. She might have gotten into something like road salt off shoes, or if she found something when she was downstairs yesterday.
