I also say Delaware. There are a lot of chicken breeds with that colouring (it's called Silver Columbian) but most of them don't have barring on the black feathers.

Yes. They're supposed to be a pretty fast-growing breed in size and feather. Definitely moreso than silkies.

That was my thought as well. There were light brahmas at TSC at the same time so maybe hatchery quality brahmas without the leg feathers jean? Idk

Clean legs, barring and single comb......all are Delaware traits, none are brahma traits.....think horses, not zebras

We started three this year (I kept 1, sold 2 at about 9 weeks)....very good growth rate, nice big birds....the one I kept is 14 weeks now and still quite noticeably bigger and more developed than all the other breeds started with her. Shes a very bold and personable girl.

Delaware's are a great hen like RIR, they are friendly and dual purpose
