need help!!!

I had a batch of eggs that I was incubating. They hatched on Dec 2nd. I turn off the incubator yesterday and just put the leftover eggs to the side. This afternoon when we got home the egg started chirping. I placed it back in the incubator but it has been out of the incubator for over 24 hours and the temps got down to 65 last night. What should I do with the egg??? What it out.Help it out?? it just peeps in side the shell with no pipping.

Where all the eggs due to hatch at the same time ??

I would put it back in, up the hum and see what happens. Cant lose anymore than what you all ready thought you did !!

They were all due at the same time.
No problems with the others.
This is my first hatch.

If you can still hear him peeping in there then he is still alive, If your temps went down at all during incubation that could of caused him to be a late hatcher !! Maybe he was in a cool spot of the bator !! Who knows... Kind of odd !!! I would say if he doesnt hatch soon to pip a hole and hatch him out, if everyone else hatched he should be ready. What day would the eggs be on today??

We should be on day 25. the turning stopped on Day 18 and the others were pipping and out on Day 20 & 21. I waited a few more days turned off the incubator.

I think its up to you, being on day 25 with all the others being hatched, it could be a 50 - 50. I would think b/c he was out of the bator with no hum for that long that he would be stuck inside the shell. Hum would be more important than temp at this point. At the top of the Incubating & Hatching Eggs page you will see a stinky on how to help hatch a chick read that before doing anything, if you have any questions about it feel free to ask !!

the only prob I have is with the egg being out of the bator for that long the membrane may have dried out so much it cant pip does anyone else think it is a prob or just me. I have done the helping many times when there was not a another option. I would put a hole in the large end to shine a light in to see if the membrane is dry. If It is then I would slowly start breaking egg shell away until I see if there is still blood in the veins of the membrane. What do all you that know how to intervene think

If he is shrink wrapped in there he is going to die if something isnt done. I dont see why he would be that far behind.
