It only happened because my other ducks that aren't crested ducks were picking on him n always fighting with him. His left leg was the only problem because they were pecking at his wing and his bone over n over. I didn't realize till the next day when I seen him laying on his right leg n wasn't movingThat’s a massive crest!They usually don’t cause much problem but definitely keep an extra eye on him over the years. A crest actually comes from a gap in the skull, so they *can* be a little more susceptible to issues.
Beautiful though, and I’m so happy he is doing so much better. Good duckie momma.
I recently lost my only crested duck to a predator.![]()
