NEED IMMEDIATE HELP ADMINISTERING TYLAN 50

I just wish I knew how she got so sick.
Was she making that noise when she hatched?

I ask that because there have been a few times where I have incubated with the humidity too high, or had malpositioned chicks. In either case, it's the same, they aspirate fluid while trying to hatch.

Ahhhhh that makes a lot of sense. I had an almost 0% hatch rate except for Pipsee and well........
I found out too late that my humidity was way too high for the beginning stages of incubation. My fiance says that he heard her make that noise from day one, I can't say I remember much. I was just so excited that one actually hatched I was on cloud 9 and now the first two days are all a blur.

I feel you on so many levels... lots of :hugs for you

Thank you. :hugs If in fact this was due to the incubation period would she still be “contagious” to the other chick I had in there with her for a bit? Back to one chick again
It's been my experience that when mine make this clicking noise it from aspiration of fluid and that it's not contagious, so I think your other chick will be fine.

So sorry for your loss of Pipsee. :hugs I feel for you on so many things. We had a chick that was so exhausted after it hatched that it fell asleep in the water bowl and drowned itself. I was heartbroken because it was the only one of 10 chicks that was a spawn of one of my favorite roo that passed away a few days after the hen layed the eggs. The chick was also the only one that hatched.
