Need info PLEASE...for "saved" turkey!

Well I live in South Florida in a pretty well developed area, suburban if you will. I don't know anyone in my area who raises turkeys, but my local feed store said that I don't need to worry about blackhead disease. My biggest concern as far as predators is probably neighborhood cats and my own dogs. In this case I feel like a pen is needed. I just don't know what requirements are needed for a turkey pen, from what I've read I will need some roost bars in the pen and some sort of shelter, would a small dog house work? Thanks again.

Hello, your turkey pen can be just like a chicken pen with a roost and the dog house will work just fine.when my poults got older most of the time they would sleep on the ground and would only go in the shelter when it was realy storming hard.just make sure you keep it nice and warm and dry until 6-8 weeks old they chill easy.you will get hooked on turkeys if you keep it good luck.
