Aww, I'm tellin ya, it just makes you want to kiss on these little babies...ok, anyone want to fess up on actually kissing their baby chicks?
Ok I'll go first...I didn't use to...but lately, I give them light little kisses
and, I love to snuggle the new ones when they just love having you hold them because they think you are mom.
4 Eggs due to hatch tomorrow. Heard peeping and tapping this morning. Tonight, went to check and found two chicks- dry and fuzzy. Went out just now, and I peeked underneath her to see my tiny silver spangled hamburg finish zipping, pop her head out, and then come tumbling out of the shell, so wet and tiny! Amazing little new life!
Two Easter Eggers- the red one was just about dry and fluffy, the grey one was already hopping around, trying to eat the alfalfa hay
Little Silver Spangled Hamburg with the detached air cell actually made it out! The only detached air cell egg to develop- the other 6 never started.
