Need to know silkie gender for potential buyer. Guesses Welcome.

I have no idea. Someone else bought them for me. They were at a poultry swap. I think the reason their top knots are so swept back could be because they're just poor quality. I'm pretty sure they are supposed to be buff but they have a lot of smut too.

I think these are both girls. I am the one who bought them for diana. I was able to see the mother to these and she was a very poor quality who had the same swept back crest.

I even have a silkie hen who has a swept back crest who lays an egg every other day.

I am going with boys too...I have one silkie, with the same waved back crest and was told boy...19 weeks now, no crowing ( I have 3 other roos, only 2 crow) **seems alpha roo and #2, do not allow #3 to crow...and now real comb, although starting to look like one. So I say BOY

Check their legs.
None of my silkie pullets ever had even the smallest of spur bumps. The ones that turned out to be roo all had little bumps even when smaller than yours are.
