Need to open incubator with pipped eggs???

Get some warm water, either top off your wells with it first thing when you open the incubator or soak a dishcloth in it and put it in the corner. You don't want boiling hot, just hot enough to quickly put off steam and get your humidity back up.

Would you leave duck in? I read they can be in for 48 hrs. I just don’t want to mess things up with other eggs...but would love to get this guy out also. It is the only one that hatched so far and there are about a dozen left.

If there are pipped eggs, I would probably just wait a bit longer to take the duckling out. Better they wait a little to come out than you risk losing the other ducklings.

Thank you! Do I worry about egg pipping on wrong side? My humidity won’t rise..it’s stuck at 68-70%.

2 different eggs. 3rd one so far that pipped on small side
