Needed by Nov. 13!!! Do you have a USPS shipping story?

Sorry it took so long, but I think I found a cure for insomnia - just have a need to get to the PO before it closes! (I work midnights, so I sleep mornings). Anyway, here is the address for your letters:

Walli Johnson
PO Box 129
Sparta, KY 41086

Please send your letters and help me spread the word. This is not just about my local PO. It is about helping the USPS see where it's problems REALLY lie so they can fix the things that are killing their business and also helping them see where they are doing things right, like my local PO. This can potentially affect anyone who sends or receives hatching eggs, chicks and live birds! If the USPS goes under because they are too busy trying to cut costs instead of fixing the real problems, our options for moving poultry around the country will become severely limited and probably much more expensive. We have to start somewhere, and I'm willing to start it here, but I need YOUR help. Thank you in advance for taking the time to consider this.

I'm beginning to wonder if the USPS WANTS to go out of business! I mailed two packages yesterday - one to ID, one to WA. Both labels were paid online and printed from their website. Well, I checked the shipping history, and it says both packages came back to MY PO and went out for delivery to me today.

I called my PO, but the clerk is a sub, so she can't tell me anything other than she doesn't see the packages there, and I didn't get them today. I have to call back in the morning and talk to the regular lady to find out what is up. And they wonder why they are losing money!

Talk about misdirected mail.....Eggs shipping from Ohio to Kansas City, Missouri going through Anchorage, Alaska. Another box of eggs from Maryland to Missouri misdirected to Greensboro, North Carolina. These were all priority mail, 2-3 days. Even car parts I ordered from California went to New York before being delivered to Missouri. I think all P.O. employees need to be given a reading exam every year to be sure they haven't forgotten. Zip codes were supposed to help speed things up.

who would administrate it? our elected officials sometimes tell New Mexico Representatives they are from a foreign country. so I beg again who is qualified to make and administer the test? also there are many people who don't realize Porto Rico is a US holding...

I live in North Alabama, if anyone sends a package to me it first goes to Nashville or Atlanta depending on where it comes from. That's okay. But the ones that go through Nashville then go to Montgomery which is all the way in South Alabama then back up North. The ones from ATL come straight to Huntsville to be delivered to Athens. If they would cut out some of the double shipping they could safe ALOT of money.
