Great news! It is amazing how fast the chemo does take hold and start destroying the cancer. Glad they were able to find her a drug that works for her nausea too.

I'm very thankful. It's made this past month fly by very quickly. The other good news is her immune system is having little effect from the Chemo. She may have one or two days where her WBC counts and ANC are down, then they bounce right back up. That means fewer injections of GCSF than we figured. Ash jokes that she was a dirty child playing in the mud so her immune system is strong. Going this long with this much advanced cancer without side effects.... well I tend to agree....

So the moral of the story? Let your kids eat dirt?

Today starts the 3rd of 5 rounds of chemo then 3 weeks of radiation. Still looks like the chemo is working well, and the doc went ahead and setup Ash for all sorts of testing a week from this thursday on the 17th. Full body scans, pet/cat/xrays etc. I imagine another spinal and bone marrow as well. We're booked from 8am till 4pm for nothing but solid tests. Later on that day is the Christmas party at the foster agency (which not sure if she is going to feel like going too) but we'll make the best of it.

For the most part none of this has bugged me too badly because I've lived through this with another child before and the prognosis here was much better. Today though I started having a hard time swallowing my nervousness though. I know I shouldn't play the what if game, but next thursday... I thought we'd have till jan to get these scans done. I hope the tests are as positive as the Doc seems to think they will be (which is why he ordered them 2-3 weeks early) if'n I had to guess.

PS, want to give a special shout out and thank you to Michelle - Ash has been wearing her scarves nonstop

I am going to have a hard time getting her to not wear them when her hair grows back
