Ah. Gentian violet. it is often used for baby thrush. Yikes, everything in the house turns purple/blue from baby drewl, But it is a good suggestion. I will start with the iodine for a few days, if no improvement is seen I may try that. I like the garlic tea or sage tea I can also do those pretty easily.

Any thought as to which will be best.
