Neglected animals. I need advice!

Hi everyone,

I have great news! My old friends mom called me and asked me to have the chicks. She's now managed to bring the chicks to my house without him noticing! She's promised not to tell him I have them.

I've managed to find out where all the chicks are coming from so I've reported them to the RSPCA. An RSPCA officer is going to talk to the owners of the chickens about taking more precautions to ensure the safety of their animals. At the moment the chickens seem to be free ranging around the whole neighbourhood! If the chickens aren't given a safer place to live, where they'll be protected from various hazards (such as traffic, predators and ponds) then the chickens will be removed and re homed. It's been really upsetting to see dead chicks littering the roadside, floating in ponds and in the hands of my old friend...I really hope something is sorted out.

Sadly the RSPCA are unable to take the chicks from me so I'm looking to re home them myself. It's a long shot, but if anyone is interested in some rescued Old English Bantam chicks in need of some TLC, please let me know.

Oh that's great news! I'm so happy that everyrthing looked out! Phew, and I would take those chicks, but my older hens would peck at them.
Good Luck Re-Homing them!
