Neighbours claiming their dog is sick from my chickens

> Lots and lots of diseases, including salmonella and several pneumonias are linked with that.

If you have such kind of neighbors, go to the library and read about Psittacosis and similar common diseases in wildlife. Thus if something suspicious unfortunately appear in your flock or in your neighborhood and you discretely train yourself about that, you will be able to spot for common symptoms and take early measures.

A dozen eggs is a small price for having peace. Much better than four

(I'm realizing now that they could in turn use them in their own lab test, maybe after contaminate them accidentally, and mess things. Maybe would be better to offer some fruit instead at this point?).

Give them Tesco eggs with some little specks of carmelized sugar on the shells to look backyardy; if they fraud on a lab test, and scream contamination at the COuncil, you can go from there.

And I agree, possibly the reason they are getting screamed at is they are using unlawful or at least illegitimate ivory.

I do not believe that that dog got salmonella twice from your chickens. It is so unlikely. But I do believe that your neighbors are crossing a line by blaming you and by letting their dog eat your chicken poop. :rant
They also shouldn't have put that salt there.
Because now you can make fun of them for getting slugs and chickens confused!:D

I also think its very unlikely.
I don't think a vet visit or note will do you any good. People like that don't seem to listen to anything that don't support their side of an argument.
I think your solution is to contain your birds 100% of the time.
Hard to blame your birds if they never make it to their property but if they do even very rarely that will give them reason to keep blaming your birds.
Very true - thank you
