Neorological problem in 8 week old Frizzle?

No....she just cant walk good..she stopped putting her head under her wing sense i gave her the vitamins. Shes never been around other birds besides her hatch mates.

Our feed store only carries medicated chick starter, so I guess next time I'll get it somewhere else. I gave the Frizzle thiamine, though I had a hard time figuring out the dosage. I ended up giving her 0.25ml, and I guess we'll see what happens. I'll get the vitamin drops and vitamin E oil tomorrow. Thanks for all the ideas!

FYI, according to one of the pathologists at the UC Davis Lab, Merek's is one of the leading causes of death that they see in chickens of *all* ages.

Marek's can occur in chicks 3 weeks and older (commonly in chicks 12-30 weeks).

Agreed. It also occurs in mature chickens and the signs are not always neurological.

What's interesting is that not one person thought that it could be Merek's.

I thought it...didnt want to say it until she tried other options..cause a lack of vitamin e can cause similar signs of meraks.
