Nervous about new neighbors' dogs & 3 yo

Yes that Weimereiner-greyhound mix is a big concern...that is a bad combo. The greyhounds do not distinquish between fuzzy and feathery and are naturally going to chase and kill. Watch that one closely.

Good luck with your chickens...maybe a good hot wire or two on that side of the fence is in order. She will pull that nose back to her side wuick if she hits it.

The clerk at Pet Smart told me about the faux birdhouse. She said that they only work if the dog it within 5 feet of the device when they bark. She said most people hang them too high and then complain they don't work.

I'll feel better when a new fence is there. Until then, I'm being really vigilant. The owner said, "oh he wouldn't do anything". Famous last words. My mom said something similar & was offended when I said that I didn't trust her dogs with my birds. I think she gets it now that I've said the same thing about the neigbors' dogs.

Hard to type with an 18 lb cat in your way...
