Nest box and perch pics please!

On my BYC hompage there are pictures of my external nestbox both from outside and inside shots. Also a picture showing roost with droppings board under it.

Inside view of nest boxes and roosts. They are a ladder arrangement like you were asking.

Outside view of nestboxes. The top opens for easy egg retrieval.

The coop is based off of this design (doubled the width though) from the Purina website.

External nest boxes. Would have made the lip on the box a little taller. It is 2", but they are still kicking out a lot of their straw. Uwed a 5 gal. bucket for a template which was handy.

you can see my nest boxes on my web page and also i used 2x4 x8 ft long for roost.
the nest boxes 4 birds per box
do u know when they lay there eggs.
if so u can go and put them in nest box right before they lay them
or keep them lock up until they lay

We made our 6 x 8 coop and 8 x 14 run from recycled left overs (theatre flats, extra siding, old metal pipe swing set, 2 x 4's, etc.). We still have a little more work to do on it including adding a window on the east side and drip waterers in both the coop and run. Plus, I'm going to beg my DH to build an extension for the nest boxes so that our 7 girls will have more room this winter. It sure isn't fancy but seems to be working just fine! The real test will come when we have our first California rain storm!

Debi, I really like your roost arrangement. It's the first one that has caught me eye and made me stop to study it - I could do that for the next coop I build!
