nest boxes

So if my nest boxes are 12"x16" and I have to put a top on them, is 12" height enough? These are EEs if that helps for size.

I think that would be ok. You'll come to find that chickens often have a favorite nest box. I have 12 nest boxes but only 2 of them are used. At one time I had 46 laying hens and still I only found eggs in 2 nest boxes.
