Nestboxes- in or out?

Currently I only have two coops. In the larger one I have a six nest rear rollout that is accessible from the work area side. The smaller 4x5 coop has an externally mounted insulated nestbox. I like not having to enter the coop to collect eggs. Keeps my shoes cleaner.

This
is my coop. There is a picture or two of our nesting boxes. I would go with outside nesting boxes, because it is very convienient. If you don't want to get your feet dirty, you can still check for eggs.

Outside or in, make sure you slope the top at a 45 degre angle. Outside it sheds water, as any good roof should. Inside, it sheds chickens, who have the desire to roost or perch on any horizontal surface!
