Crowing
First, my dad made this box for his chickens several years ago and stopped using it, so we were able to get it. Fresh paint, ta-da! We did add two crates on end as it only held 4. I'm a very visual person, so I look for photos more.
Read about using feed bags for pads- I cut and sewn a couple last night. My machine did not like the dog food bag so will need to wait until next sack is empty to make two more.
We have two girls that are bright red, even at 14-15 weeks and wanted to be ready ready. My car was full so I wasn't able to get the bale of hay from my dad's for their boxes.
Made the pads 12x12 and just cut and sewn on the edge/seam, didn't turn out or do anything fancy. Even one I cut wrong but it works. I did stuff with plastic bags- 5-6, as I used what I had on hand.
They fit perfectly in milkcrates. Added some pine and the fake eggs. I glued rocks in Easter eggs and painted them brown.
Will update in a few weeks on the feed bag pads
