Nesting box question

Our original nesting box (on the right in the picture attached) was a DIY project. Free, easy and still used daily by our original 3 OG's. Since then, we've added a dozen or so more to the flock and got a bigger nesting box system thing (on the left in the picture) for everyone to use. The new additions are starting to lay eggs and the first 2 eggs were laid in one of the new boxes, but today's was laid in the old DIY box. Ideally, I could get rid of the old DIY box and leave them with the new 6 box setup. Is removing the old box going to upset their schedule in laying or am I insanely overthinking this and the chickens will lay in whatever is provided?

It’s going to be fine. Just make sure to place fake eggs in there or more bedding to arouse their attention. Chickens like privacy when laying eggs

One more thing, remember that it may take time for all the hens to adjust to laying in the actual nesting box. Just try to make it as comfortable as possible. I got a few EEs back in April of last year, since they started laying many months ago, I still have an occasional ground layer, even though more then 90% prefer the nesting boxes.

One hen is laying just fine in the new boxes. However, yesterday I found an egg just splattered on the floor where the old box was. Today, 2 eggs were laid on the drop board
