Nesting boxes

They are $19 to $20 at most feed or TSC. When you consider how long they will last, time saved from ease of cleaning, and being able to keep them clean/germ/mite free-I think thats a great price. :-)
 
You can often find them on sale-especially fall/winter for around 16. And they are really durable. (I have added a couple here and there over the past few yrs) However, a plastic dishpan would give you the same convenience for cleaning as these would! I just really like the plastic over the wood nestboxes :-)
 
Does anyone else use lawnmower catchers? My DP had chooks years ago and used them, so that's what we now have for ours (this is my first time owning chickens though). They haven't started laying yet however, so I'm yet to find out if our girls actually like them.
We have two in the coop for our 7 hens (took one out since I took this pic). I'm just not sure if they should be off the ground or not:
