nesting boxes

    How far off the floor should the nesting boxes be?? Also, how many boxes for 8 golden comets?? The coop and run should be ready this weekend for the girls. Can't wait to get my laundry room back!!![​IMG]

    A foot off the floor is fine, maybe 14" if you are doing the deep litter method. You don't want any of the boxes higher than the lowest roost. I believe the rule of thumb is one box per four hens.
