Look at that!! She sure seems relaxed. How far does she have to go to water with her little ones?

About 75 feet to the bulkhead.

I’ve seen at least 7 and there were 9 eggs. I’m hoping she takes them to the water in the morning!

Roughly 78% hatch rate, not bad. She looks so precious!

Nope, we are right on the creek!

Yes, at least. I will know for sure once she leaves the nest. I can’t see any eggs but she’s keeping the babies close to her. At one point I could see 5 just outside her body and two under her. But they could all be under there. I just haven’t seen all 9 at the same time. I’ll let you know real soon here!

She had 6 ducklings and 3 unhatched eggs. She walked down the sidewalk this morning, toward the pier and jumped one by one into the water. It was heartwarming!

One last thing, should I just bury those eggs? She left them uncovered and from what I read, I don’t think she is supposed to come back to her nesting area.
