Nevadans?

No worries on the Alchohol Missy. My husband has real issues with people that drink (father problems). So even though I don't mind I'll ask that everyone refrain from it at this get together. Fruit is great.

I can cover everything else. I was going to make regular and sweet tea anyway. If anyone has requests just let me know. Thanks.

Sorry I'm a bit busy today so I have to run.

Yeah Sunny when I get stung it hurts for probably a minute or two (it always seems like a lot longer when it's happening

), then it's just a little sore and itchy for a day or two.

Missy the bees are so far very interesting! I'm learning so many new things I never knew about them. They really are fascinating creatures.

Congrats on the bees, Ron! I love bees! Someone was telling us we need to get some, and honestly I love bees, but I actually can't eat honey. I have some kind of aversion to it, it just makes me feel "off" when I consume it, so I'm not sure if bees are for me. Although, as a biologist, I'm in love with bees and think your endeavor is awesome! Have you ever kept bees before or is it a first time project?
Thanks StevieNay! This is my first time with bees. I actually wanted them primarily so my garden would be more productive, though I am a honey lover, too. So I can't wait to try some "home grown" honey!

those ducklings are so adorable, Missy!

Bees sound cool, Ron! Hope you don't get stung any more. Keep us updated.

good luck on the upcoming hatches, sheryl!

Missy those little duckies are so cute!!! Yes Black Forest cake sounds good. I'm not into chocolate much but Steve loves it! There are times when something like that really hits the spot for me as well.

So we have 2 desserts,1 salad and 1 main dish, yes? That leaves side dishes, drinks, ice, plastic ware, plates, cups and napkins yes?
I can bring some plates and napkins. I will bring some other food dish in addition to the vegetable salad either another main or a side. I have to think about what would be good. I'll bring some bottled water as well.

Hello everyone! I'm sorry to hear all the things that are going awry, as far as personal and animal health goes. I wish everyone speedy recoveries!

Missy, I hope you're hanging in okay, we are definitely pulling for you, your birds, and your family at our house. Your ducklings are irresistibly adorable... I think someday we will have to get some. AND, thanks for the gardening advice, I'm following along, so hopefully we can have some homegrown veggies this summer. It is the first time for us to have a garden at our house, and I really don't know what I'm doing.

I'm excited for this Farmer's market to come together! I can't make to it the potluck this weekend, we just have so much going on. I'm in the writing stage of my thesis so I can graduate in May. I would love to come buy your produce and goods this summer, though!

Seth, are you going to be showing your rabbits at the show? Hope it goes well! It's good to hear you enjoyed your trip to Mexico and got a lot accomplished.

Our chicken family is doing really well. We moved our littlest chicks to a portioned off area in our coop weekend before last, and allowed them to integrate with the older chicks this week. The bigger chicks weren't really thrilled with the newbies at first, but they've been doing better and better each day. Our littler chicks, we got from Green's Feed Chick day, are so sweet and cuddly. I held two of them for a long time yesterday and they just loved being cuddled. They crawled right into my lap, it was a good end to a long day!
good to hear your chicks are doing well!

Hey Ron! When you get stung next time spray some ammonia on it (I use windex original). It neutralizes all of the venom. You still get that first minute of pain but none of the itching or pain for the extra days. I stepped on a wasp last week when I got out of my shower. Man did that hurt, but I grabbed the Windex right away and after about 20 minutes I completely forgot about it until my honey asked several hours later how I was doing.

Sweet! Thanks Mandy!
