I might be taking a break from poultry. I'm trying to move out of state getting ready to go to school which I'll be paying for myself plus I want to focus on just my American Sables to the point I want them plus I'm starting second breed of rabbits in November. Plus I would need to start my poultry right from the start again because my Runner died. So if anyone is looking for a silkie cock let me know.

missy she will be preggers for 28- 30 days and dont be dis couraged if she hase them on the ire or has other issues. she is a first time mommy. try to give her nestbox to here a day before she gives birth ( your best guess) and remember give her three chance if she fails the first time.

By the way my rabbit is pregnant

my coop isn't coming any ideas for an alternitive ? we might have to settle for the $850 coop from fallon but it is so expensive!

I love the Brits. How can you not love a nice full arch on that small body? They aren't mean they just have personality. Don't all Ruby Eyed Whited look evil though?

So far, I'm just into the New Zealands because you can eat them! But I was that way with chickens when I started, as well. I thought RIR and BR were standard, and silkie was the other end of the rainbow! I never imaged I'd be particular about wheaten clean shank pencil spangled rose comb lacing and stuff. But I do love the rex fur, and when I saw Seth's rabbit show at Shopper's Square, I was totally entranced by the champagne coloring. Raising champagnes to eat would be like eating my ameraucanas... you can do it, but there's a much better purpose for them.

And I agree... I think the ruby-eyed whites look evil, as well.

Hopefully, she'll be a good mom. We don't have anything financially invested in this right now, since we didn't plan to breed for a few months anyway. But it would be a shame to have anything go wrong.

When I palpated her, I didn't feel any kits. But she's probably a week pregnant... or, it's a week after the little outdoor show I witnessed, anyway. We have the nest box almost ready. Is there any harm in moving her in there early? She's still in with the buck right now. I figured, what's going to happen... maybe she'll get pregnant???

How rare is the coloring? I wouldn't mind eating them, if they bred true and it wasn't rare to get champagne.
