Nevadans?

I'm back! I went to the grand canyon and missed the chicken swap :he

Julie do you have any pullets available?

SETH....the Grand Canyon would be way BETTER than a chicken swap! Besides there is another swap July 15th!!! I will post details soon.

As for pullets available....depends on what u r wanting. I have hatchery Brown Leghorns ready to go now(5 months old) In a month or 2 I will be sorting through my oldest Dutch hatches (approx 50 youngsters) and Seramas (approx 20) and will have many for sale. I have blue partridge and blue Silkies available but the sexes are iffy they r between 1 month and 3 months and hard to sex! Some of the Silkies have nice vaulted skulls some do not but still have a decent poor on top.... extra toes and toe spacing on the other hand are not consistent. :/

Sunny thanks so much for the update on the Polish! I am sorry that I have been MIA! With end of school, a mini vacation to the Feather River and my sons Allstars baseball I was busy! Plus hatching sonething practically every week.

Anyway I really appreciate the fact you refunded their money, I assured them u would make it right. YOU ROCK! I have to admit the group of people on this thread are amazing folks, some of u I have met and some I have not but u are a unique and amazingly caring group and I am honored to be apart of(even if only to lurk more than post but I enjoy catching up when time allows). I have seen some really cruel people on other threads and sites and what a breath of fresh air to not have it here!

With that said...
I too will try to fix any issues that come up with my birds purchased from me. I am not in the breeding business to get rich(HAHA THAT IS FUNNY check out my feed bill!) I do this because I love it. Because I like most of the people I meet, and I hope everyone has a good experience like I did when I started...

Sunny I didn't notice anything too weird on the boys, one died of unknown cause, I. Chalked up to stress and i guess another walked funny, seemed narrow in the body but nothing too bad while I had them.

I hope Strombergs liistens to you. I too had heard they had better quality hatchery stock than other hatcheries.

I order it from farmtek.com only place not sold out.
Let me know on the hatch Wolftracks.
Thanks Tyler - that site is awesome! I'll bet you just cost me $500!

Lost a bird today. Not just any bird either, one of my two olive eggers. The frustrating part is that she died trying to lay her first egg. Poor dear. It wasnt even hot today, and this is the first time i have seen her in a nest box. She looked completely normal and healthy aside from the being dead part....grrr!!! Its must have been something internal that was just too much for her during her first egg laying experience as she was completely fine this morning. Now I will never know if she was a true OE.

I'm not always sure. Some run from me and others try to ride on my feet. I think the ones that get accidentally kicked off while I walk are my runners. LOL Right now I'm just sitting here when I should be out trying to rustle up all those cockerels to take to the auction in the morning. This is my downfall. I hatch them out, but hate giving them up. Now if I had more room that would be one thing, but seriously, I need to get rid of some birds.

Well shoot! I don't know if it's harder when we have no idea what happened or we know they got eaten by something.....just sucks to lose them. I'm so sorry.

Awww, sorry to hear that. Losing Shawarma was like that. She danced around on a nest for a few days, but I was watching her to see if she was an egg eater. I never suspected egg-bound. Then I left the house for 4 hours, and when I came back she was gone.

That's what I was thinking when I read it - egg bound. I lost one that way, too. It's very sudden with virtually no warning. Sorry about that Aubrey!
