I love the rain too! It's really something we learn to appreciate living in Las Vegas. Especially when it's scented with creosote! SOOOOO glad we don't get snow! (wait, it DID snow twice last year....) But really, I HATE it. I had my fill growing up and while I think it's beautiful to look at I'm so glad I don't have to be out in it. So my heart goes out to all of you that are suffering through snowstorm after snowstorm...

Thanks vegaschick. We appreciate the sympathy. My poor chickens really hate it! Most of them still won't step foot outside the coop, poor things!

well this morning i woke up to my a plate falling off my kitchen counter.. thank god for corelle....
i go in there to find all 6 of my halloween hatch leghorns on the kitchen counter..agin.. yes, the were in here yesterday when i got back from walking the kids to school.... and my gimpy roo looking at me from the open door...

yesterday i figured the dogs got the door open.. we have the lever type handles...today i'm wonderin gif the babies have figured it out... or they're just getting lucky... flying up and landing on the handle and they weigh enough... hhmmmm.....

anyway... be glad your girls wont come out of the coop... they might decide inside the house looks even better....

Evonne, that is hilarious!!! I bet that type of door knob does make a good looking roost to young ones. Too funny! Well they won't be able to fit there when they are older. 'Til then leave the teapot on for visitors I guess.

Ha ha ha ha ha!!! I meant leave the tea out for me. Since the house is open and you invited me for a trip out of the snow...

well in that case i'll get out the really good stuff from pike peak marketplace... my mom brings me back this black orange spice tea when she goes to see my brother.. it's stronger than black coffee, but OMG good.....\\

and yeah... my house is always unlocked.. kinda scary in vegas, but we have 4 dogs.. we doubt anyone will make it past the front porch... lol....
the entire property is fenced though... so it's not like someone can park and walk to the front door easily...

Guess I better wait then. I have the same thing, well 2 very noisy dogs, one female that seems friendly 'til you try to come onto the property without us and one that barks his head off but will back away from anything he's afraid of (which covers a lot!).

lol.. my corgie barks as she runs backwards... it's pretty darn funny to watch...
if we're home, and tell them to shut up and be nice, everything is kosher... and my girlfriend from pheonix can walk into the house when we're not home and they let her.. but they know she's family... she's slept on the couch more than they have.. lol...
