oohh if you guys want some really cool loking pics, there was a thread somewhere here about setting up a studio lighting type box just for chick pics...
it was something along the lines of....
for light colored birds paint the inside of a cardboardbox black, for dark birds go white or maybe cream??
lay the box on it's side so the opening faces you not up....
cut a large rectangle out of the box side that is now the top... tape wax paper over that whole....
use a light similar to the brooder lights to shine through the wax paper and into the box....
you'd have to play with wattage and distance.. and watch for too much heat on the wax paper.... ??
put chicken into box and snap away and hope for a good pose....
i didn't bookmark the link, and i don't know what to tell you to search for, but i think it was in the raising chicks threads??
pet photography is a big market.... start doing it and get a portfolio online and get bussiness cards printed with the address and put them at the feed store and the local vets and groomers... once you get a little more practice under your belt, photography is a great bartering tool....
if it's something you want to do, feel free to PM me and i'll get you pointed in some directions.... i've been out of it so long that i don't know the latest technologies, but i have a lot of marketing and self employment promotional ideas...
