Hi mythkat! Thanks for the link! I had no idea they were there in Washoe. This is my favorite thing about this thread. All the great info we get!

HorseFeatherz NV, no problem! I will keep my eyes peeled and tell my DH too. Since the tree is blooming now, it will be a while before it spreads it's seeds again but hopefully there are seedlings still hanging around that I haven't spotted yet. I will check my neighbor's yards too. As a courtesy, I am always picking up the seed pods from everywhere so they are used to seeing me in their front yards.

Vegaschick you aren't kidding! When I first moved up here I tried planting the normal desert plants I was used to and what a disaster! The warmer seasons were great for them and they flourished, then winter came and half of them froze!

Not the same up here as it is in the south.

HorseFeatherz NV, Mom is great, thanks for asking. I am going to her oncologist with her in about an hour. So far it sound like they are pretty certain they got all the cancer but she will still be doing some radiation treatment. We will learn the details of all that today. But she is strong and in good spirits. doing good with healing from the surgery.

SunnyDawn, Got somethin started now. You may have a Nursery in your future. A plant Nursery.

Oh Evonne, I'm so sorry about your chicks. That had to be devastating. Luckily, I'm home most of the time so I will follow your advice and check on them frequently! I will also build plenty of shade and will bug my hubby to get those misters going asap. Yes, I do sell Pampered Chef. I don't do parties anymore, but take orders. If you need anything let me know. I loved the teaching part, but didn't enjoy as much the selling part so my hubby talked my into doing cooking classes which I'm hoping to start up soon. Maybe I should have you up to teach a canning class?

Horsefeatherz, that sounds like a real good plan. When I open up the brooder, they start popping up at the top, they are so excited. I think they're ready to run and explore. They spent they're first night in the dark since I turned off the heater bulb. They were reall chatty at first, but settled down after a half hour.

Thank you! That was taken at my 50th b-day party and I'm hugging my youngest brother. We are very close and I didn't expect him to show up 'cause he lives a long way away. It was a nice surprise!
