Holy Smokes! That sounds a little out of character to me. Don't they usually just run away? I'd be concerned about rabies being an issue. If they come back, I'd have the hubby (if you have one) accompany me with a shot gun. Can't risk having any of my animals bitten and getting rabies!

Yikes! Well we can't shoot things in the city, especially not with shotguns lol, BUT- the wildlife service will allow you to borrow their traps and they will come get the coins once caught and dispose of them humanely. I agree with lacy, though, sounds rabid or much too bold at the least

I've had a raccoon stand it's ground and growl at me before. It was a big sucker (like a small dog) and it didn't seem at all intimidated by a human. And this was when I lived in the Bay Area (Niles Canyon).
