I'm nervous about the chicks stickin' and or drownin'........but what will be, will be at this point I reckon.

We have another hen thats gone broody and is settin' on 6 eggs. I jus checked her water and maaaaaaaaaaaaan did she poo some BIG broody doo. I had to applaud her for hangin' in thar with the heat!

if we end up with 13 more chickens I may have to send some to Vegas. Our daughter jus bought a new ranch home in Henderson, off WagonWheel and its zoned for chickens!
Dont ya think chicks would make a nice housewarmin' gift?

Our SIL would have a caniption.....he's allergic to anything with fur or feathers

Sunny its doing good. Im in that lovely peeling stage where everyone thinks im a zombie. But there is god news: two nights ago i slept the whole night through. that was a relief.

Im in an angry music mood. I usually listen to not-angry music, but idk. I llisten to ALL sorts of music, from oakridge boys to seether, but does anyone know papa roach? Thats angry music.

Are you guys serious about that? when was hawaii a state? I thought it was around the 30's, wasnt it? lol by that math sunny ur like 80.

Both Alaska and Hawaii became states in 1959 - my brother was born in 1958 so there were only 48 states then

hey sorry to break this silly subject, but i have a question you guys might be able to know the answer to...

i started letting the girls run around in the backyard after work about two weeks ago. I've seen my dog eat their poop. i didnt think much of it because he eats cat poop and other various poops (

) well in the last three days he has been extremely ill and this morning is not wanting to get up and walk around. a trip to the vets is in order, but do you think the chicken poop couldve caused this? if so they will have to strictly live in their run which kinda stinks..

I was born in June, 1959 so Alaska was already a state but Hawaii wasn't.

Aubrey I have never heard of dogs getting sick from eating chicken poop so I guess the Vet will have to answer that one. My dogs (much to my disgust) have eaten chicken poop too but never got sick. Although the chickens themselves may have salmonella (rare though) or some other problem which would make the dogs sick. Let us know what the Vet says, I would really like to know what they advise. I have a separate dog run for my dog, plus she is in the house a lot lately (due to the heat) but I'm going to get a new puppy in a year or 2 and a young dog may be more at risk than an adult dog.

Aubrey my dog has been eating chicken poo her whole life, as a pup up to now (with a little break in between when we were chickenless). Its never hurt her, and we just consider it 1) little doggie chocolate chips 2) 'Dog, ur soooooo gettin' a breathmint when we get in the house.' But deff. tell us whats wrong with your pup, we dont want her getting any worse.
