Nevadans?

Rural chick what kind of rabbits do you have do you show them?
I bought them from a garden shop that is now closed and the lady there called them Silky's. I'll try to get some good pics to show them. The male is all black and the female is black and white. I don't show them, (I wouldn't even know how to begin that, still too new) They were bought for breeding, but I have to wait till Dec. for the female to be old enough. Hopefully by then I will have a better home built for them. Right now they are in wire cages and I don't like that. what I have planned will be much better and they will have a door for access to an outside run (separate of course) so they can get some fresh air and nibble the grass I plan to grow for them next spring.
Can you tell I don't like my critters...

I figured she knew what she was talking about but when I was trying to find something about silkies there was nothing and by that time they had closed up shop and the place is up for sale. This was all within a month or so after I got the baby girl bunny.
Shortly I plan on building them separate enclosures inside the coop with their own door to the out side play area. (also divided) Their enclosures inside floor will have 1/2 the area wire with a drop pan underneath and the other 1/2 solid floor with some hay or straw for comfort and warmth. They will each have a hideaway house with a ramp to climb on top of the hideaway house. With their hay baskets, nibble food water dish and some toys they should like their new set up. Not to mention getting to go outside more often to play and nibble fresh grass.

Lucky bunnies!

How much snow has everyone else in the Northern part of the state had? It's been snowing off and on here since about 2:30pm yesterday but not much is sticking. If it's gonna be this cold I kinda wish it would just snow already! This little bit of precip isn't gonna help much!

We had enough to get the roads a little wet yesterday, but that's it. I was inside with the blinds down, writing, then my husband picked me up to run errands and I said, "Oh, it rained." He laughed and said, "It was snowing!" I guess that's what I get for locking myself away like that.

Haha. Well you missed the big storm!

I think I'll stay inside and crochet. I still enjoy seeing the few flurries we've gotten come down. Even if they do melt the second they hit the ground. Well as long as I get to stay inside anyway. I could have sworn a new front was heading our way but now all I see out the window is a light grey. No walls of white bearing down on us. Ope! Now I can even see the mountains faintly. Looks like the fog is lifting.

I'm at work right now and it's a bit foggy to the point that the hills, some people call them mountains (I guess they have never really seen mountains), are partially hidden. My son called me from Fernley to let me know he could mow the grass (that he has forgotten to do the last 3 weeks) because it is snowing lightly and making the grass wet but not sticking yet. That is all we have had!

Well, I am just fine with no snow sticking this weekend! We have to do the last lawn mowing and run the mower out of gas... I still have to mulch Garden #2's garlic... I have 2 barrels of compost for the menfolk to move to Garden #2... Need to cover the artwork on my chicken coop since I couldn't find the polyurethane to refinish it while the weather was still warm... and that's just what I have to do OUTSIDE tomorrow! I'm going to stick a huge to-do list on the fridge, and maybe offer rewards for whoever gets the most done.
