Nevadans?

Did you folks in the valley get more snow too? It was just starting to melt finally.

Enough to say, "Oh, look, snow! Oh... never mind."

I'm getting tired of having frozen feet by the time I get in from taking care of critters. I'm gonna have to give in and get some snow boots if this keeps up.

The PPBA show in Stockton on the 26th and 27th. It is the biggest poultry show in the western U.S. but they have more than just poultry I believe.

I've got my old police boots for working out in the cold, but I'm ready for warm weather either way. Our heating bill came yesterday. A full tank of fuel oil (lasts one month most Januaries) = $544.04. We turned our thermostats down to 60 all over, and I bought a space heater to heat my massage room during clients. This is just uncalled for.

Yeah, the Stockton show is one that we should most definitely NOT go to. It's on the same list as shoe stores and clothing stores, sporting goods stores, and the Asian store (I love that place and it's super cheap, but I always find a million things that I didn't know I needed until I went in there!)

LOL

Yea we've been doing the same thing. A tank of propane is costly too. Well in summer (when prices are down) it's less but costs a lot more in winter. To make it last longer we have the thermostat down to 60 as well and are running our room heater in whatever room we are in at the time.

Funny I've never bought any birds at a show before. Small swaps yes but poultry shows no. However this show brags that it has the biggest sales area of any show in the west.

Ouch!!!!

I just took the Jeopardy! on-line test.... It was SO hard! (There were no clues within the clues like on TV) I don't think they'll be calling Yours Truly as a show contestant anytime soonly.

Some of their questions for you smarty-pants out there:

Who was the 22nd and 24th President of the United States?

In Greek mythology who was Jason's wife?

Name the longest river in Viet Nam?

Name the mountain range that has Mt. Whitney?

Name the capital of the state with Mt. Rushmore?

Who wrote the opera "Tosca"?

Name the Great Lake wholly contained in the U.S.?

Name the subject of the 2012 book "The Last Lion"?

What is the study of jet trajectory called?

and a bunch o' other questions to comprise 50 brain crampers. Oh, well.....maybe next tryout... (They don't let you know your results. They'll just call you if you qualify for the next interview round)

(My secret fear is that I'll get on the show and the categories will be stuff I know I s**k at, e.g., Equidistant Planets; Third World geography; Russian composers of the 13th Century; recent Childrens literature (I have NO kids); Famous Chinese; Rhyming Physicists; Polar Ice Stations.... Etc....)

Uh... Bismarck?

Okay, let's just assume that everyone here is completely nuts and get on with laughing our heads off in our padded cells with chickens climbing all over us, okay?
