Nevadans?

Right now most of the pullets in my Ameraucana pen have gone broody so I am lucky if I get one egg every other day

In my other pen I have the golden cuckoo Marans, probably 3 eggs a day and also in that pen are W/BW Ameraucana pullets that would make Olive Eggers. I get the most eggs from them.

For the best results with shipped eggs, buy as close to where you live as you can so they don't have to travel far. I think Southern California BYC members would be a good choice

I would check with Phage here on BYC. She is in San Diego and has lots of great quality birds. I think she has Ameraucanas and Cream Legbars that lay a blue egg.

Good luck getting eggs for your broodies

Thanks. I will check. Another time maybe.

I would be happy to send you eggs when my Ameraucanas are back to laying well

I just thought you needed eggs right now for your broodies. Most of my girls are sisters to my Ameraucana rooster, so they are in with the GCM rooster making OEs right now. I am growing out a couple of roosters from another line to use with them. Unfortunately it will be another 4 months before they are mature.

I appreciate your interest in my birds

Is it bad that I was hoping eggs I had on the auction thread, didn't hatch?? I put them up before my main Chocolate bantam AM pen started laying. I can auto sex this gen, so I got 2 pullets and 2 cockerels and had all the auction eggs set to the side. The closer it go to the end time and no bids, I decided to put them in cartons to hatch out....You know....Just in case. LOL Those suckers when into the bator 2 minutes after he auction ended. Drats! That's so depressing that they didn't sell. NOT! I think I'm just going to hatch every single egg out this year and maybe sell eggs next year. I can always sell pairs later that I don't keep

Now if my BBS LF AM pm will pick up on the laying, I can replace all the ones I lost. So sad I lost all those girls. But this year, I'm hording lots of birds. Trying to be moved onto some land in a few months. I can have a ton of birds then.

I hope you don't mind me asking but what are you looking for in a job?

Ive been in the medical field for over 20 years finance but I'm having a hard time with people giving me a chance since I am in Vegas. So I thought if I wanted to move there, maybe I just needed to take any job as long as it will pay the bills.

You might look at Renown medical center or Saint Marys. There's also Northern Nevada Medical Center. Their websites gave their openings.

Hello
I live in Fernley and have been lurking around BYC for about a month and then I found out they had a state section! I have 3 chicks that are almost 4 weeks old. I have what I originally thought was a white cochin, but she is turning out to be more of a Columbian Cochin, brown leghorn, and a white rock. Didn't really know what I was getting when I picked them out at Big R in Fallon, but they have been entertaining over the last few weeks. Hoping that I can keep them in their brooder that is a pack and play for another week, but they are getting big fast! Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather will get better so I can move them outside soon. So that is a little about me.
