Nevadans?

No I most likely will not have a broody by then so I might just go ahead and break out the incubator and hatch or I may need to wait until next year. I know they won't be laying eggs much once we move them. It took Monique 2 months before she started laying again so it might be a missed opportunity.

If you have bears you most likely would have seen them already but if you haven't and they're still there then make sure to check the area around you for signs of them. Mainly scat, sausage looking scat.
This is broody season, so maybe you will get another one.

Sounds like you are getting a great hatch under the broody!

Thanks Candy, yes, she's doing fantastic. I'm at a total of 6 chicks out of 8 now. I assuming all 8 were viable but, darn it, those FBCM eggs are an 8 that's under her and there's no way to see anything inside of them. I can only tell by them hatching. 2 more to go! All 3 f1's are here. Boy are they purty!

Candy,

I shot a great video of mama feeding the babies but I can't get it loaded onto youtube yet but I'll be posting it. Oh and I hope you realized the f1's are from Amanda, she's the chick I bought from you 2 years ago. So in a way, you're a Grandma again.

I love their little dots on their heads, they're so cute.

I have someone looking for an Ameraucana rooster if anyone has one please post here or on facebook.

There are now 7/8 babies, alright mama! I will always use Wyandottes to hatch out eggs. I had a Wyandotte hatch ducks for me 2 years ago, it was the best and now this. Candy, this Wyandotte came from Kirsten and she's a Black Laced Red.

Where did you get your Wyandotte? They are gorgeous and I would love to have one but I can't hatch to save my life. Anyone have a pullet they'll part with?

Here's Lacey feeding her babies for the first time. It's an Italian family tradition that the very first food a chick eats is scrambled eggs. I've never lost a chick yet since I've been doing this.

There's a lady on here who sells them, her name is Kirsten. Candy had her in a shipment of chicks we bought from both Kirsten and Candy. These are the Black Laced Red Wyandottes and not the Silver Laced Wyandottes. Most of us stopped raising Silver Laced Wyandottes because they won't let any new chickens in no matter what.

Neither Kirsten or I raise Wyandottes anymore. Mine went to a friend and she has been hatching out some chicks. She might have some extras later. She also is raising exhibition silver laced Wyandottes that are gorgeous. They are not mean like the hatchery silver laced. You can contact her through BYC. Her name on here is Zoichick (Cyndi)
